Thank you for your interest in my Newborn Photography services. This comprehensive guide seeks to provide all of the information you may need when considering booking a newborn session with me.
An Artist, Mom and Storyteller...
"About Me's" are always so hard to write, but I think it's important you know a few things about the person that will be handling your sweet baby.
Over the past 10 years, I have spent countless hours photographing, studying, and educating myself in newborn photography & I take pride in being highly experienced in handling and soothing newborns, working with new mothers, and connecting with small children.
Two (not-so-little-anymore) boys are at the core of my story and are why I do what I do. I cherish the fact that God blessed me with children, and I covet every stage of their precious lives. While many years have passed since I have been in the newborn stage, I never want to forget the smell of their flawless skin, the touch of their silky soft hair, or the look of trust in their eyes during those long, sleepless nights.
Of all the hats to be worn, my favorite of all is "mom" and it goes without saying that my children are my greatest accomplishment in this life.
With that, my approach & style of photography reflect the things that I hold dear; images are simple yet sweet, natural yet timeless. I'm all about those tiny details.
It brings me joy to be able to preserve those details for you.

I offer two types of newborn photography; posed (in studio) and lifestyle (in home).
Please carefully review the following descriptions and images for each type of session and the difference between the two.
LIFESTYLE
Lifestyle sessions capture real moments in your baby's life; with a more candid, personal approach, this documentary type session will include baby's interaction with the family & siblings and is a wonderful way to document the early days with your new little one. There is little to no posing during lifestyle sessions - instead, we utilize different rooms and elements in your home to document the baby and family together; parents, siblings, and (sometimes) pets play a big role in these types of sessions.
+ Sessions last about an hour to an hour and half
+ Shoot within the first 3-4 weeks of life

lIFESTYLE SESSIONS
For posed photographs, your sleeping baby is carefully placed into poses that capture the sweet essence of this fleeting time. Expect posed photographs to take a bit longer and require a bit more effort; getting your baby into those poses will take time, but the end result will be well worth it. Posed sessions allow for the opportunity to capture the details of your newborn that you never want to forget - the wispy hair, the pouty lips, the flakey feet. With color palettes tailored to your liking and preferences, we custom style a session that is all yours - no session is the same. I provide all we need for the baby for this session & you have complete access to my newborn studio wardrobe.

Parents and siblings are welcomed and included in all sessions. There is a special part of each newborn session dedicated to capturing your new family together.

I am located in Loganville, GA & my studio is within my home. For lifestyle sessions, there is a travel fee for distances greater than 20 miles from zip 30052.

A Style Guide is available for those wanting assistance in styling a session. The guide is comprehensive and includes direct links to sites and boards to make sure you don't miss a detail!

I often book months in advance, so I encourage clients to book early. Once your session fee is received, your due date is held on the calendar. We will schedule your day to shoot once you deliver and have been discharged from the hospital.
Posed sessions can last anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours, depending on the baby's disposition. I want your images to be perfect, and posing takes time. Baby's comfort and safety are a priority & we allow time for feeding and soothing as necessary during posed sessions. Lifestyle sessions are normally complete within an hour to an hour and half.
I provide all that is needed for newborns (for posed sessions) & swaddles for lifestyle sessions. I also have a curated collection of outfits for babies up to 12 months for milestone sessions.
For parents and siblings, there is a Style Guide available that will aid in planning your wardrobe for your session.
A proofing gallery will be sent a week after your session. Once you have made your selections for your final gallery, post processing takes approximately 3 weeks.
